Strippers Union – the Deuce

Rob really came to the table with some huge contributions this time. I can’t say enough about how effortless and fun the Strippers Union experience always turns out to be. We wrote this album in three short visits that started with three songs in a Best Western Hotel in Smiths Falls Ontario. One three day session at my house and another three days at Rob’s sealed the deal. That is four groups of three. Should be twelve songs for a Deuce? We recorded all those songs in the summer of 2010 at the Hips Bathouse Studio. Murray Atkinson joined us to augment Simon’s keys. Odds were out in Kingston to play a show and we combined that with a Strippers performance at Ottawa Bluesfest and the recording in Bath. That is a fun summer camp. Better than “Meatballs”.
